I had a mix of experiences at the Apex City Of Glasgow Hotel during my recent stay. The location was fantastic and gave me easy access to shopping and dining options, but I was disappointed by the noise disturbances from a nearby pub, especially since it was supposed to be a special stay for my anniversary. Despite these issues, the staff were friendly and responsive, helping to resolve my bed situation promptly.

Rooms

Our room was clean and well maintained, though it initially had two single beds instead of a king. After contacting reception, they changed the bed arrangement quickly, but the subsequent room was smaller than expected.
Service
8.0
The reception staff were helpful and accommodating. They resolved our bed issue swiftly and offered us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience although I’d hoped for a full refund given our anniversary celebration was impacted by the noise.

I had an enjoyable stay at the Apex City Of Glasgow Hotel, highlighted by comfortable accommodations and friendly service. The room was clean and spacious, but I did encounter some minor noise issues that could be improved. Overall, it was good value for the price, but some details could enhance the experience further.

Rooms

My room was clean and featured a comfy bed, but I did notice a suspicious stain on the bed throw that made me a bit uncomfortable (I tossed it aside). The modern amenities were a nice touch, especially the large TV, although a few maintenance issues, like a broken toilet seat, were present.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, especially the receptionist Kirsty who surprised me with a birthday card and chocolates (she really went the extra mile!). Their willingness to assist made me feel very welcome throughout my stay.

The hotel offered good facilities, including a welcome drink and laundries service. However, I felt there were some logistical issues during my stay due to a water main break in the city, affecting certain services.

I enjoyed breakfast, which had a variety of fresh options, but I felt the dinner menu was somewhat limited. I found the ordering through an app a bit impersonal.

The food was a definite highlight, with both dinner and breakfast exceeding my expectations. The only downside was that the city view from my room wasn’t quite what I hoped for, but overall, it was a nice experience.
